Donna Marie (Turner) Fowler, born November 18, 1930, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 28, 2021. Donna was born and raised in Barnhart, TX where she attended high school. She spent many years with her loving husband Hershel. They transferred to different National Parks for the US Dept. of Interior. They even lived in Alaska for a period of time.

Elmer Earl Garlitz passed away peacefully on March 7, 2021, at Country View Living in Dimmitt, Texas.

Laura Adilene Harville Settle, 93, passed from this life to the next on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born near Oplin, Texas at the family home to Tina Bartley Harville and Sidney S. Harville on April 8, 1927.

Henry Herbert Settle passed from this life to the next on March 3, 2020. He was born on March 17, 1927 in Baird, Texas, to Lilly Hampton Settle and S. Ernest Settle. He grew up in Baird and graduated from Baird High School. He married Adilene Harville on May 12, 1945.

Joyce Quinney, 77, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, in Dallas. Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.

Sherman Dwayne Smith, 50, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born in Big Lake to Nollie Joe and Ruby Nell Smith on May 13, 1969. He lived in Big Lake all his life. Sherman was preceded in death by his grandparents, both parents, as well as one brother, Milford Smith and a nephew.

Charles H. Jackson, age 87, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 in San Angelo, Texas.   

On the evening of March 4, 2019, Earlene Ham began her last and most interesting adventure as she traveled from this life to her final home in Heaven. She was born on January 26, 1928 to Clarence Earl Ham and Alice Belcher Ham in Marfa, Tx. Earlene was born into a family of pioneers and women with steel backbones.

Rosary services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel and the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Rose “Darlyne” Poynor (Memaw) was called home, to our Lord, October 21, 2018.  Darlyne was a member of First Baptist Church Big Lake.  She was always an angel in our eyes, so we know she is fulfilling her new role effortlessly. She was born on the family farm, October 10th, 1931 to Joe and Lula Miller.  She was raised in the cotton fields of Orient and went to school in Tennyson, Texas. 

Jimmy Alan Garner of Big Lake, Texas went to be with our Lord Sunday August 12th, 2018. Alan was born in Denison, Texas on December 9th, 1968, where he resided until he was 9 years old. He lived the rest of his days in Big Lake, Texas, where he raised his children and served his community to the fullest.

A.C.”Rusty” Clayton passed June 12,2018 at his home in Christoval, Tx, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Clayton, a son, James Franklin Clayton, grandchildren, Makendree, Brydon, Mason, great granddaughter, Aubree, brother, Roy Clayton, brother in law Pete Sandel and spouse Nicole James, niece, Julie Carruthers, grand niece, Lily Walts and nephew Peter Sandel and numerous others. He was preceded in death by daughter Renee, his parents and 11 siblings.

Services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Big Lake an Elder of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo.

Jesus Perez Jr. “ JJ”, 28, of Ozona, Texas, passed away March 11, 2018. He was born in Del Rio, TX on October 1, 1989. JJ graduated from Regan County High School.

Donald Leon Meroney, 81, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Big Lake. He was born on July 13, 1936 in Texon, Texas to the late, Royal Stanley and Velma Estelle Barnes Meroney.

Tuesday Evening, January 30, 2018, Noe Franco age 71, passed away from cancer, and entered the presence of the Lord. He was with is loving wife, Karen. Born in Fort Stockton, Texas on April 18, 1946, to Jesus Franco Sr. and Tomasa Rameriez (Gonzales) Franco, he was one of three brothers.

Ruby Jane Childress, 98, of Big Lake, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018. There will be no services. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.

Joseph Anthony Tavarez, at the age of 18, went to heaven on December 30th, 2017. Joseph was born on July 1st, 1999, in Odessa, TX to Victor and Roxanne Tavarez.
