The school year is almost ending and the summer fun will begin at the County Library.
Lots of different, exciting programs are in store for the summer. All programs are free of charge.
For preschoolers (3-5) there will be programs every Tuesday in June from 11 :00 am - 11:45 am. Afternoon programs will be presented to children (ages 3-12) every Tuesday in June from 3:00 pm- 4:00 pm.
Pecos Bill (storytelling with balloons) will visit on June 4th at the 4-H Center. On June 11th, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will have a craft workshop with the children at the County Library. (We ask that children 3 years old have a parent/older sibling for the craft program).
On June 18th, we will have Animal Adventures with Masai Maggie at the County Library.
“Animal Adventures” features multiple puppets and LOTS of ventriloquism in the show.
The last program, on June 25th, we will have our Summer Fun at the County Library. We will have a dunk tank, bouncy house, water spraying with the Fire Dept., free hot dogs, and Meraki snow-cones for children 2 to 12 years of age ( children 2-5 must have a parent present to participate in the water spraying and bouncy house). Please dress comfortably and wear sneakers/flip-flops for this activity. Parents are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
There will be LEGO Club programs for the months of June, July, and August. These days are Thursday, June 6th, June 20th, July 11th, July 25th, August !51, and August 15th from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
Our Read-to-Swim (read 30 minutes and get a free pass to the swimming pool, a limit of 2 passes per week per child during the month of July) to promote reading during the summer.
The 2024-2025 Texas Bluebonnet books are in and ready to be checked out.
