Reagan County's Tristan Ortiz has been named to the San Angelo Standard-Times West Texas All-Decade Team.

Ortiz, a 2019 graduate from Reagan County High School, was named to the list for his work on the offensive line.

As a junior, Ortiz graded out at 94 percent, while grading out at 93 percent his senior year.

The Standard Times noted that Ortiz, 5'11" and 270 lbs., may be the strongest lineman West Texas saw the past 10 years.

He broke the State Record in powerlifting with an 820 lbs. Squat.

That strength helped him notch 113 pancake blocks. He also amassed 84 tackles and six sacks as a defensive lineman.

More important to Reagan County fans was Ortiz' leadership on and off the field.

He truly embodied what it means to be a Reagan County Owl.

Congratulations Tristan!
