The Big Lake Chamber of Commerce’s Santa Rita Star Spangled Celebration is quickly approaching.

Chamber Director Loretta Epperson said those interested in attending need to be aware of a change made to this year’s event... A $20 Cooler Fee.

“We have been blessed this year with sponsors coming forward,” Epperson said. “We usually have a full year to prepare for our celebration, but this year we had to pack all of that down into a couple of months. I want to thank each and every company and group who stepped up and helped make this year’s event possible.”

Epperson said the short notice, and coming off of the pandemic, has left the Chamber short of previous year’s sponsorship levels. The Chamber will institute the $20 Cooler Fee to help bridge the gap.

“It has been a tough year for everyone,” Epperson said. “We set out to make this year’s Star Spangled Celebration as big of an event as everyone has come to expect, while keeping it free to the public to attend. The addition of the Cooler Fee helps us do just that.”
