The 87th Annual Reagan County Mary Tatum Holiday Classic basketball tournament will be held December 28th - 29th at the Reagan County High School gym complex.

This year’s tournament boasts 14 teams with seven playing in each the boys and girls brackets.

The tournament, founded by F.F. Tannery in 1929, is the oldest basketball tournament held in West Texas and one of the oldest in the state.

The tournament tips off Friday at 9 a.m. for the girls and 10:30 a.m. for the boys bracket.

The Lady Owls will take the court first for Reagan County at Noon against Fort Stockton.

The boys will face their first opponent at 1:30 p.m. against Ozona.

The Lady Owls’ play their last game Friday at 6 p.m. against Marfa while the boys play at 7:30 p.m. also against Marfa.

The Lady Owls play their last game of pool play on Saturday  at Noon against Coahoma. The boys play theirs at 1:30 p.m. against Stanton.

The championship game for the girls’ bracket will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening.

The championship game for the boys will be played at 7:30 p.m. in the main gym.
