Manager David Melms said his store is making the move as a way to help those who are most at risk when it comes to COVID-19.
Elderly (65+) who would like to use the Home Delivery option may do so by calling Lowe’s Market - Big Lake at 325-884-2644 with their grocery list.
Melms said the store cannot make home deliveries on large orders, so the list needs to be in the $50 range.
Elderly customers can pay via credit card over the phone and provide their address.
Staff from Lowe’s Market will deliver the groceries to the person’s front porch and notify them when they arrive.
The staff will leave once the groceries are dropped on the front porch to avoid excessive contact between the homeowner and Lowe’s Market staff.
Melms said he is thankful for his wonderful staff who agreed to take on the task of Home Delivery.
