Sherman Dwayne Smith, 50, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born in Big Lake to Nollie Joe and Ruby Nell Smith on May 13, 1969. He lived in Big Lake all his life. Sherman was preceded in death by his grandparents, both parents, as well as one brother, Milford Smith and a nephew.
He leaves behind brothers J.H. (Mary), and Arthur (Vera) and sisters Marianna, Kathy and Marilyn (A.G.). He had a large family which included 15 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sherman had a host of friends, some of whom included Rey, Eric ,Freddy, Frankie, Henry, Mark, Bubba, Sonny, Nich and many others. He loved playing dominoes, pool and pitching washers. Sherman will always remembered for his big smile and his warm heart.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Big Lake at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
